Ask Yolie: Week 4

Q4:  Hi Yolanda! Holiday season is here and I would like to give my clients gifts to show my appreciation for them but I’m also on a tight budget. What would you do? I’m in the hair industry.

A4: Hello! I have been in the same boat as you and I have a list of ideas you can do! First of all, when we hear holiday season and gifts, we automatically think MONEY! AHHHH! But I believe that some of the most thoughtful gifts aren’t about the price tag.

Here are a couple things you can do:

Go to your local thrift store and buy a couple of baskets, ribbons and holiday decorations.

-Go to the grocery store and buy a box of hot chocolate packets, candy canes marshmallows, cookie mix, and cellophane or clear bags and a box of disposable cups with lids. Bake the cookies and package them, and also package the marshmallows (separately) Decorate the basket, and depending on high level clients, you might add an inexpensive wine bottle. With this method you can make a couple of gifts!

-A nice holiday card with gift card! For a special promotion for your services (percentage off next visit, free service, money off a service/product).

-A handmade card detailing how you appreciate their business.
